This is the percentage of French people who still thought, in 2021, that some cosmetic products were tested on poor guinea pigs before reaching your bathroom.
And yet, fortunately, this has changed for many years:
2004 in Europe: ban on marketing cosmetics tested on animals.
2013 in Europe: ban on using cosmetic ingredients tested on animals*. Ban on importing cosmetics tested on animals.
All this to say that no product sold in Europe can be tested on ANIMALS! And that’s a good thing!
In Europe, yes! But elsewhere?
Some countries do not ban animal testing BUT there is no risk of finding those products on the European market thanks to Regulation 1223/2009 which prohibits their import into the European Union.
