Natural, a godsend...marketing?

Everyone has an opinion but no one gives the real answer…

When we speak during presentations or training, we often ask the following question: "What justifies the craze for natural products? In other words, what is the benefit for your skin, really, rationally?" This is what I get as an answer:

  • The instinctive (or the dogmatic) brush aside the relevance of my question: “What is natural is good, period”. A bit short…

  • The skeptics are less peremptory but more sarcastic: “Sir, let's not give in to the ambient demagoguery, naturalness is just a boon for the service marketing lacking inspiration.» Just as short…

I'm going to tell you a secret but this remains between us: even most start-ups that "bet on naturalness" in cosmetics don't know why natural would be "better"! So I think it's time to really explain the how and why, but are you ready to hear it all?

Sensitive souls refrain

Intrigued by the route of our dear little cosmetic molecules in our body, we carried out a major survey more than 20 years ago, with toxicologists, endocrinologists, immunologists, biologists, dermatologists ...and after 2,700 publications consulted, we deliver to you here our updated conclusions, which are broken down into 4 findings. Sensitive souls, refrain…

Is 300 kg reasonable?

A large study carried out in 2017 revealed that French women use 16 beauty products per day! Over nearly 50 years of life, this could correspond to 300 kg of products absorbed by the skin. Observation No. 1: massive exposure.

You are not waterproof!

Science is formal. Cosmetics, yes, but not where you imagine... cosmetic ingredients are found in your dermis, hypodermis, your blood, your urine and even your breast milk! Observation no. 2: deep penetration.

One day, one month, one year?

How long do you keep molecules from cosmetics in your body? No one knows but the studies are unanimous: we are all polluted by synthetic molecules. Observation No. 3: sustainable bioaccumulation

The annoying question…

But what is the effect of being “roommates” with these cosmetic molecules or “xenobiotics” as toxicologists say? Very few epidemiological studies have looked into the potential effects of such bioaccumulation from cosmetics but the rare publications are already sounding the alarm. Let us cite a recent study which, in 2020, clearly demonstrated the association between the increased risk of endometriosis in women and the level of certain preservatives and synthetic sunscreens in their urine!

GREENWASHING

Chronicle of a “bad buzz” to come…

Thanks to the independent and courageous mobilization of certain universities and hospitals, other epidemiological studies have revealed the transgenerational effect of this chemical pollution.

Let's take for example the University of Berkeley study carried out on 339 pregnant women which confirms a link between the exposure of these women to cosmetic molecules and early puberty in their children! Another scientific publication in 2020 proved that high exposure to certain preservatives used in cosmetics by mothers leads to a greater risk of obesity in children. Observation No. 4: the precautionary principle is essential.

Now you know… and what would you have done?

Probably like us... Absolute priority to biodegradable ingredients, that is to say those that your body can degrade after having obtained all the benefits. And therefore obviously those of natural origin which have this capacity to biodegrade… naturally. 100% natural and certified by independent organizations. An uncompromising commitment. You have understood, natural at Novexpert is neither a marketing opportunity nor even an end but a means: that of preventing lasting pollution of which no one knows to date, what the risks are. sanitary facilities.

And that’s all?

No. Because even a natural ingredient is not beyond suspicion, obviously.

And this is where our 2th singularity on the precautionary principle comes in: Thanks to the different laboratories that we have of our own (microbiology laboratory, molecular analysis, research laboratories, etc.) all the ingredients are literally exposed at more than 50 control points before being selected. Three scientific departments have developed this pitiless obstacle course which perfectly illustrates the radical position of Novexpert regarding the choice of active ingredients. This even goes so far as to analyze the “molecular vibration” of 100% of the ingredients with each delivery to ensure exceptional quality monitoring. Principle of excellence obliges... This daily requirement allows us to offer you products not only 100% of natural origin but also usable by everyone, in particular by sensitive skin and certified compatible with pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Rest assured, a little makeup (often containing silicones) to enjoy summer evenings with friends will not put you in danger, but on a daily basis remember to use your critical thinking in order to choose cosmetics that do not will not permanently pollute your body. And if you don't know where to look, I can only recommend that you take a look at our site!
