IT DEPENDS!
Because before talking about cleansing, we must first talk about facial impurities! Impurities are divided into two groups:
- THE OIL LOVERS = lipids called lipophiles
e.g., sebum, makeup residue, or sunscreen.
- THE WATER ADDICTS = hydrophiles
e.g., certain pollutants, dust, or sweat.
L’OIL ATTRACTS OIL AND L’WATER ATTRACTS WATER!
As you may know, oil attracts oil and water attracts water! So in theory, double cleansing seems like a good way to remove all types of impurities from your face because it combines:
#1 A cleansing with a "fatty" (= lipid) product.
You can use our cleansing oil or an oily balm.
#2 A cleansing with an aqueous product.
You can choose from gel, milk, or foam textures.
